Hello to all! I want to first thank you for electing me as your new president. I am excited about the upcoming term and look forward to serving you as your representative for the Sugar Dunes Chapter of the FSMTA. I also want to extend a very warm welcome to the other members of the board: Marcy Bertling, 1st VP, Tara Bush, Secretary, and Lee Thompson, Treasurer and Sports Team Committee Chair. Thank you all for your willingness to serve on the board and assist me this term in all our goals!

To Lee Thompson, I want to thank you for all you have done over the past six years to maintain the Sugar Dunes Chapter. You are very appreciated and we thank you for all the dedication and support you have given the members during your time in office. Thank you also for staying on and supporting us as we pick up where you left off.

Please make sure you check out the website and all the links, we are updating it often and it will keep you posted on upcoming events and information that you may need to further and benefit your massage therapy career. Convention is coming up this year in Boca Raton on July 2-6th. We would love to see as many members as possible there; it is going to be a lot of fun! We also have events/meetings each month; many that offer CEUs.

The Chapter has a new email address, fsmta_sugardunes@yahoo.com. Feel free to contact us with any question, ideas, and such that you many have. We are here to help you.

All meetings will be held at the Grace Tabernacle Church located on Eglin Parkway in Mariner Plaza (near Cinco Bayou Bridge and Scully's restaurant) in Fort Walton Beach, on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. for meet, greet, and refreshments; 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. business meeting; 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. is the presentation. 

Don’t forget we are having a membership drive. It started February 2008 and will continue through February 2009. The member who signs up the most new members gets their 2009 FSMTA Convention registration fee paid for! So invite your fellow LMTs to join and come check out the meetings!
